Sempio¡¯s Icheon Plant is located in Gyeonggi Province in an area traditionally famous for its rice and pottery. With its pure, clear water and fresh air, Icheon offers an excellent environment for the production of soy sauce. After securing the land in 1982, Sempio began a construction project that lasted five years and resulted in Korea¡¯s largest soy sauce production facility.
The Ichon Plant is recognized around the world for its advanced high tech facilities including Koji facilities and automatic amino-hydrolyzation equipment. And it serves as a benchmark for soy sauce manufacturers in other nations as well.
Completed in 2001, the Youngdong Plant specializes in the production of bean paste and red pepper paste. The plant is easily accessible and it is located in a clean natura environment. The plant has received approval by HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Institute) for its facility and product excellent concerning hygienic production systems and products. This is a solid reflection of Sempio efforts to produce the highest quality products in totally hygienic conditions.
The plant also features 6-stage equipment for the selection of only the finest ingredients, it has its own patent for bacteria control, and it uses only 100%-pure sun-dried red peppers for its products.
Sempio space is the new culture area which is located in Sempio Icheon Plant in Kyungki Province. We plan and operate the complex culture programs such as experimental exhibition, performance, and events of new and striking artists.
